Poplar Farm is a family-run caravan park and camp site nestling on the banks of the River Ouse, just 4 miles downstream from the historic city of York.
Touring caravans, motor homes, and tents are welcome on the site during our opening months of February to early December. We have 50 touring pitches, 25 tent pitches, and 10 hard standing pitches for motor homes, all with electric hook ups. Separate paddocks are available to accommodate small educational parties.
We have 100 static caravan pitches, with a number of holiday caravans with services available for hire. A selection of new and pre-owned static caravans are offered for sale, with prices ranging from £15,000 to £40,000
The latest addition to our site is our luxurious Boat House holiday cottage, offering two bedroom accommodation with contemporary styling. See more details on the accommodation page.
We recommend advance booking of pitches to avoid disappointment - see the bookings page for details.
Poplar Farm is situated on a quiet country road linking Acaster Malbis with the village of Bishopthorpe, home to the Archbishop of York

Part of our site has a beautiful river frontage with boat moorings for small craft and fishing pegs for our guests to use. At the corner of the park is the Ship Inn public house, serving good beer and good food. The Ship has a cosy interior with open fires in the colder months, and a large beer garden with views across the river for when the weather is warmer.
A local bus service connects the site with the surrounding villages, and runs into the centre of York.
